Bill Hemby's car is a perfect example of what made up 'real race cars' back in Athens Speedway's heyday.

Jerry Williams (left) brought out his beautiful replica of Buck Simmons' racer out to the event. Williams also races the car on the NVRA circuit, and wins too!

If only it could talk, oh the stories it could tell!

Seems like old times - Joey Phillips (left) and Lamar Kellum (right) have a look under the hood of one of the cars on display.
